Frilled Shark

The Frilled Shark is an ancient living species, which is also rare. It is a shark that lives in all of the deep waters of the world. It lives at depths up to 1,570 m ( 5,150 ft.) It can reach lengths up to 6.6 ft, it also has an eel like tail. We have little information about the sharks weight, because of the rare sightings.

The Frilled Shark's diet is composed of cephalopods and Teleost fish, it has 300 trident shaped teeth arranged into about 25 rows. This species dates back to the Late Cretaceous or possibly the Late Jurassic period.
